Position Title: Multi-Site School-Age Program Director
Location: Hampton/Kolb
Position Type: Day Care Program / Site Supervisor
Rate of Pay: Starting at $14.34 per hour
Schedule: As needed, based on program requirements
Purpose of the Position
To assist the District Early Childhood Facilitator in the establishment and monitoring of staffing, children, and the budget for the Before and After School Programs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Other duties may be assigned.

Assist in the administration of the Standards of Quality for child care programs.

Assist in the supervision of personnel.

Assist in the development of curriculum.

Assist in the development and implementation of the Program Guide, Health Policy and Procedures, and Staff Handbook.

Assist in the implementation of Child Care Licensing rules and regulations.

Assist with compiling, submitting, and reviewing written reports as required for the programs.

Assist in staff scheduling based on child attendance numbers.

Ensure family billing cards are current and accurate.

Complete weekly deposits.

Ensure weekly attendance numbers, payroll, and DHS billing are submitted correctly.

Assist with record-keeping for the programs.

Provide support in any other areas as directed by supervisors.
Dimensions of Position
Assist in the supervision of children and personnel assigned to the Before and After School Programs. Support curriculum administration, counsel children, parents, and staff, and plan and supervise all aspects of the program as directed.
Qualifications
Minimum Education Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education preferred, from an accredited college or university as determined by the Michigan State Department of Education.

Meet minimum requirements as outlined by the State of Michigan Department of Human Services Office of Children and Adult Licensing; Licensing Rules for Child Care Centers for a Program Director.
Minimum General Requirements

Knowledge of Michigan Child Care Licensing Rules and Regulations.

Physical stamina to work long and flexible hours.

Ability to organize and operate programs effectively.

Strong verbal and written communication skills with administrators, staff, parents, and children.

Physical Demands

Regularly required to stand, talk, hear, walk, and occasionally sit.

Vision requirements include close vision for reading and the ability to adjust focus.
