Position Title: School-Age Site Supervisor
Location: Auburn
Position Type: Day Care Program / Site Supervisor
Rate of Pay: $12.62 per hour
Schedule: As needed, based on program requirements
Purpose of the Position
To assist the District Early Childhood Facilitator in the establishment and monitoring of curriculum, the daily operation of the School-Age Program, and supervision of children and staff.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Other duties may be assigned.

Administer the Standards of Quality for child care programs.

Supervise program personnel.

Assist in the development of curriculum.

Develop and carry out weekly lesson plans including art, manipulatives, games, building, imaginative play, large motor, sensory, and reading activities.

Implement the Program Guide, Health Policy and Procedures, and Staff Handbook.

Implement Child Care Licensing rules and regulations.
-
Assist with compiling, submitting, and reviewing required reports for the programs.

Maintain current records on family billing cards; receive payments, provide receipts, and prepare deposits as needed.

Maintain family email and phone communication lists.

Assist with program record keeping.

Create weekly children’s attendance schedules based on parent submissions.

Keep accurate daily attendance numbers and record them on family billing cards.

Record DHHS hours and process billing accordingly.

Engage in indoor and outdoor activities with children.

Teach and model respect to children and staff.

Assist in any other areas of need as directed by supervisors.
Dimensions of Position
Assist in the supervision of children and personnel assigned to the Before and After School Programs. Administer curriculum, counsel children, parents, and staff, and plan and supervise all aspects of the program as assigned by supervisors.

Minimum General Requirements

Knowledge of Michigan Child Care Licensing Rules and Regulations.

Physical stamina to work long and flexible hours.

Ability to organize and operate programs effectively.

Strong verbal and written communication skills with administrators, staff, parents, and children.
-
Current Adult and Pediatric CPR, AED, and First Aid certification.

Ability to apply knowledge of current research and theory.

Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, staff, parents, and the community.

Strong oral and written communication skills.

Ability to perform duties with awareness of district requirements, Board policies, and applicable State and Federal laws.
Physical Demands

Regularly required to stand, talk, hear, walk, and occasionally sit.

Occasional pushing or lifting up to 50 pounds.

Direct responsibility for the safety and well-being of children and others.

Vision requirements include close vision, reading, and the ability to adjust focus.

Must handle multiple demands and interact with the public and staff.
