Overview This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working at the intersection of technical sales, customer engagement, and application consulting. You'll interact with a wide variety of customers - from scientists and managers to professors and students - and play a hands-on role in helping them find the right solutions. From quoting and product demos to trade shows and post-sale support, you'll be involved in the full customer journey within your assigned territory. Key Responsibilities * Engage with a diverse customer base including engineers, technicians, supervisors, managers, professors, and students * Prepare and deliver quotations, share product information, and manage follow-up activities through a CRM pipeline * Coordinate and plan travel for customer visits, product demonstrations (equipment and consumables), and attend relevant trade shows, conferences, and meetings as a company representative * Respond to technical and application-related inquiries via phone and email, advising customers on appropriate equipment and use cases - including PLC and vacuum systems * Collaborate with project managers to ensure technical alignment between customer needs and proposed solutions * Execute sales and marketing efforts within your assigned territory, including maintaining pipeline and opportunity reports, and conducting virtual consultations and product trainings Qualifications * Bachelor's degree in Materials Science or a related engineering field, or equivalent practical experience * Minimum of 3 years' experience in a technical environment such as maintenance/service, research lab, or manufacturing * 1+ years of sales experience preferred * Familiarity with vacuum technology, PLC systems, and furnace-related applications is preferred * Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint) * Experience working with CRM and ERP systems is a plus * Strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail * Excellent written and verbal communication skills Beacon Hill is an equal opportunity employer and individuals with disabilities and/or protected veterans are encouraged to apply.
