Howmet Aerospace is seeking a Staff Assistant to join our Plant 10 team in Whitehall, MI. This on-site position reports directly to the Plant Manager, and performs a key role supporting the Plant Manager and Staff with daily operations.
Salary Grade 2
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as the Communications lead, ensuring timely updates to plant communications and employee information
Entering data into spreadsheets and using databases/systems. Run reports and provide data.
Answering phone and performing clerical work
Process material requisitions, purchase orders, and office supply orders
Establish and maintain various plant databases, filing, and systems, including data archiving and record keeping per standards
Coordinate meetings, special events, travel arrangements, and customer visits for the plant
Schedules appointments and maintain appointment calendars for staff
Take part in staff meetings. Support with notes and tracking action items
Routinely handles work of a highly sensitive and confidential nature
Flexibility to work overtime, including weekends, as needed
