JOB DESCRIPTION:
Develop responsibilities for active safety systems including brake modulators, electronic brake boosters, and future braking system configurations. Work directly with an entire development team including project leaders, fellow function and software developers, and application/calibration engineers to develop project-specific solutions with strong customer input. Software development for active safety products with a focus on brake systems. Perform requirements engineering with customer and internal teams. Design and implement solutions based on requirements. Test to verify solutions and validate component and system level requirements. Work according to industry guidelines and processes (e.g. ISO 26262, ASPICE). ISO 26262 is intended to be applied to safety-related systems that include one or more electrical and/or electronic (E/E) systems and that are installed in the series production passenger cars with a maximum gross vehicle mass up to 3500 kg. The Automotive SPICE process assessment model (PAM) is intended for use when performing conformant assessments of the process capability on the development of embedded automotive systems. Support in-vehicle and offline (laboratory) software testing based on established methodologies. Flexible, willing to flex working hours to allow daily international collaboration while achieving a good work/life balance. Conduct and take part in customer and internal meetings.
REQUIREMENTS:
This position requires a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Electronic Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related field, plus 5 years of experience as a System Engineer, Software Integrator, or an occupation involving software engineering. Additionally, the applicant must have employment experience with: (1) Automotive, motorsport or heavy equipment industry; (2) Vehicle networking, diagnostics and debugging complex systems.; (3) C++, C or MATLAB programming; (4) CAN, CAN-FD, UDS, J1939 or other automotive communication protocol including software implementation; and (5) Automotive software development processes (e.g. ISO 26262, ASPICE, or AUTOSAR).
