As a Personal Banker at Mercantile Bank, you will play a pivotal role in delivering exceptional customer experiences across a wide range of branch activities. As an integral member of the Branch Sales team, you will utilize a needs-based selling approach to establish and deepen customer relationships, identifying their financial needs and recommending appropriate products and services. Your strong decision-making and conversational skills will empower you to provide personalized solutions while ensuring the operational integrity of the branch. Tasked with processing transactions accurately and assisting with problem resolution, you will maintain flexibility between teller and sales-related functions, adapting to the branch's dynamic environment.
You will be a leader in uncovering referral opportunities, logging customer interactions in our Customer Relationship System, and contributing to the achievement of branch sales goals. Your role will not only involve nurturing existing relationships but also promoting a positive image of the bank within the community through local events and organizations. Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or 2-5 years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

On average, this position works banking hours Monday - Friday, 8:30 am - 5:00. Community activities may require evening and weekend hours. Day travel is required for meetings and training.
