Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Education, Leadership, Native Studies, or a related field and three (3) years of full-time work experience in a similar management field.
OR
Must have an Associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Education, Leadership, Native Studies, or a related field and five (5) years of full-time work experience in a similar management field.
- Must have previous management experience and project assessment experience.
- Must have at least three (3) years of demonstrated leadership experience and experience supervising multiple staff members.
- Must have previous Grant writing, technical writing, project management, compliance, and reporting experience.
- Must have the ability to plan and assess program goals strategically.
- Extensive knowledge of MS Office Programs.
- Must possess strong verbal communication, written communication, organization, project management, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
- Previous budgeting and financial experience.
- Ability to work effectively in a tribal community.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with KBIC departments, schools, and community partners.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Strong oral and written communication.
- Solid organizational skills, including multitasking and time management.
- Must maintain strict confidentiality.
- Must be willing to travel.
- Must be CPR and First Aid certified, or must obtain within 90 days from the date of hire.
- Understanding of cultural competency and sensitivity in educational and community settings.
- Must be willing to work evenings and weekends, as needed.
- Must be able to obtain a satisfactory clearance under the Indian Child Protection and Family Violence Prevention Act Background Investigations Policy.
- Must be at least 21 years old, have a valid, unrestricted Driver’s License, and be insurable to operate KBIC fleet vehicles.
- Employment is contingent upon the satisfactory result of a Security Background Check, pre-employment physical, and drug testing.
