Job Description

What You’ll Do:

Administers Agency Recruitment and Hiring procedures to ensure consistency in the application of policy and EEOC guidelines in the selection process.
Maintain agency job postings, including; approving positions on the online system, developing advertisements for job openings and assure positions are advertised in the appropriate newspapers, as requested. Maintain system that verifies billings for job openings are correct and that all necessary backup is received.
Represents NEMCSA at job fairs and other appropriate recruiting events.
Maintain job applicant files for open positions including screening of online applications for referral to hiring managers.
Verify educational documents to ensure they meet the requirements as stated in the job description.
Ensures offer letters as well as layoff and call back letters are completed by working closely with supervisors to ensure information is accurate.
Onboarding and Integration:
- Develop and implement comprehensive Supervisor and oversee the new hire onboarding process to ensure new employees feel welcomed, informed, and integrated into the company culture.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline onboarding processes and enhance the overall newcomer experience.
Employee Engagement:
- Design and execute initiatives that promote employee engagement, satisfaction, and a positive workplace culture.
- Conduct regular surveys and gather feedback to assess the pulse of the organization, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions.
Professional Development:
- Work closely with Executive Assistant to identify training and development opportunities that align with individual and organizational goals.
- Facilitate workshops, training sessions, and mentorship programs to support continuous learning and career growth for supervisors.
Well-being Programs:
- Develop and implement well-being initiatives, including wellness programs, mental health support, and work-life balance initiatives.
- Monitor and assess the effectiveness of well-being programs, adjusting strategies as needed.
Recognition and Rewards:
- Establish and manage employee recognition programs to acknowledge and celebrate individual and team achievements.
- Recommend and implement competitive and creative rewards systems to motivate and retain top talent
Committees – oversees composition and makes recommendations for membership.
- Attend and participate in assigned agency committee meetings as a representative of the Human Resources Department – Wellness Committee.
May assist in verifying and keeping up to date any required employee credentials, health and physical exams, required drug testing, or other documents.

Requirements

What We’ll Love About You:

Bachelor’s degree in business management, Communications/Marketing, Human Resources or related field
2 years experience in recruiting, personnel or business services
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Access, Adobe Suite
Good oral and written communication skills
