Our services include primary and pediatric care, dental care, behavioral and SUD care, supportive housing, and community re-entry services, to name a few. The Junior Accountant performs a variety of accounting and payroll tasks and works directly with the Finance Leadership Team to perform duties and tasks requested relative to the financial process.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Accounting
1. Reconciles corporate credit card accounts and various other Balance Sheet accounts.
2. Assists with month-end and year-end closings.
3. Assists with audit preparation.
4. Reconciles employee benefit program expenses
5. Assists other team members with special projects.
Payroll
1. Processes bi-weekly payroll, ensuring employees are paid timely and accurately.
2. Runs various payroll reports to support certain disbursements (union dues, 403(b), FSA and HSA) deductions.
3. Prepares the bi-weekly payroll journal entry.
4. Maintains labor allocation schedules based on department, program, and grant.
5. Ensure all deductions are processed for all employees and remitted timely and accurate.
6. Partners with the Leaders on tracking employees' work hours/attendance and produces reports as needed.
7. Resolves employee inquiries associated with payroll
8. Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of two (2) years of recent accounting experience required.
- Minimum of two (2) years of recent payroll processing experience with 75+ employees required.
- Experience with Microsoft Excel, HRIS (i.e. Paycom, etc.) and accounting systems (i.e. NetSuite) required.
- Ability to reconcile and/or balance financial documents and accounts.
- Demonstrated knowledge of various HR and payroll laws, and regulations to ensure compliance.
- Excellent financial analysis abilities are highly preferred.

- Demonstrates written & verbal communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
- Ability to multi-task and maintain composure during stressful situations occurring as a result of workloads and/or deadlines.
