Kelly Services is recruiting for an exciting Direct Hire opportunity at a heating technology solutions company in Battle Creek! This Team Leader position will report to Production Supervisor on 1st shift, which runs from 6:30 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. The Team Leader is accountable for the safety and productivity of all production employees. In addition, this position is reasonable for ensuring that production scheduled for completion is executed in a timely manner and within all quality parameters.
Primary Duties: Not limited to
- Ensure the safety and productivity of all employees assigned to designated shift and area.
- Release Remakes and orders.
- Evaluate Performance of team (Pcs/day to support customer needs).
- Address and correct late jobs, make sure late slips get to Sales by 4:00pm each day and address late's on Pareto.
- Responsible for continual improvements of miscellaneous projects (i.e. scrap solutions, assist leads solutions for inefficiencies, plant floor layout)
- Delegates daily task w/ direction from Production Supervisor
- Assign employees to designated area as needed
- Monitors team performance
- Makes sure team stay on schedule
- Responsible for prioritizing/coordinate using back order reports
- Required to attend meetings (if necessary)
- Answers employees questions/provide direction
- Tracks & submits ideas and solutions for manufacturing issues based on own observations and analysis.
- Should be accessible at all times
- Maintains production employee training records
- Manages individual development of employees
- Making sure that Onboarding/training is completed on schedule
- Provides coaching and feedback to employees on continuous basis
- Monitors & Identify required training needs
- May assist/ and or conducts performance reviews
- May assist/ and or contacts interviews w/ HR for needed employees
- My participate in disciplinary actions when needed or asked by Production Supervisor
- In charge of communications between front line & Office/Management
