Are you an Exteriors Engineer looking for a dynamic company to join? Due to our steady growth, we have an immediate opening for an Exteriors Engineer who is motivated by variety and change, and who actively enjoys new and unplanned experiences. You must show a capacity to quickly assimilate and understand the implications of new developments and be ready to respond appropriately to situations as they evolve. As an Exteriors Engineer, you will need to adapt to our customers’ expectations and have the aptitude for understanding their detailed and exact requirements. Expect to work on various programs in automotive, aerospace, military and industrial equipment. The position is located in Allen Park, Michigan.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (BSME is preferred)
Minimum two years of related experience as an Exteriors Engineer with an automotive OEM or Tier 1 supplier
Experience with engineering, development and release of exterior systems from start to finish
Experience with any of the following: Bumper/Fascia Systems, Exterior Lighting, Glazing, and exterior trim
Experience with DFMEA and DVPR development and/or maintenance is preferred
Hands-on troubleshooting and problem solving skills
Must be an effective engineer while acting within a cross-functional team
Must be able to act as liaison with CAD designers, design studio, CAE, program team, and other departments for all responsible parts.
Strong communication and presentation skills
Must be motivated and adaptable
US Citizen preferred
