Job Summary
JOB SUMMARY
The Business Analyst-Treasury Management, Deposits and Payments works independently as well as in collaboration with other teams and team members to develop analytics, and generate concise reporting and visualizations that monitor trends, surface insights, and provide visibility to deposits, TM Sales and TM Product programs and business needs tied to Treasury Management, Deposits and Payments and partner business units. Uses analytical methods to prepare data, identify trends and solve business problems related to sales, products and operational needs. Uses such experience and knowledge to develop recommendations and present to senior management.
Job Responsibilities:
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Source, manage, and analyze portfolio data in support of Institutional Banking Solutions department dashboarding.
Develops knowledge of the data related needs of the business unit and has the ability and technical skills necessary to support those needs.
Assists in analyzing user requirements, procedures and problems related to data and reporting.
Works with lines of businesses to understand their business challenges and recommends analytic solutions.
Supports leadership by developing reports, ad-hoc queries, and trending analysis within defined timelines and quality standards.
Performs explorative data analysis, data integrity check, data issue research, and other due diligence.
Summarizes trends and findings in a manner appropriate to the audience.
Support the development, maintenance, and ongoing enhancement of Treasury Management, Deposits and Payments internally generated data and related analytics, reporting, and workflow technology tools and repositories.
Identifies and obtains data and information critical to analyses.
Produces, updates and maintains reporting, dashboards and related visualizations as required to report all necessary data being requested by business leads.
Power BI dashboard creation and ongoing development and maintenance to encompass business need.
Excel spreadsheet manipulation including, charts, pivot tables, power pivots, VLookups, Index Matches and if/then formulas.
Design and create standardized and customized data outputs, visualizations and reports summarizing product data, activity data and sales related data.
Create MS PowerPoint, Power BI, Tableau executive level outputs of the data.
Interacts with other departments to obtain information and data needed by the business.
Develops knowledge of the data needs of the business unit and pursues the technical skills necessary to support those needs.
Develop procedures and user guides relevant for teammate education. Remains current on procedures and practices pertinent to business unit.
Analyzes and resolves problems pertaining to data reporting discrepancies.
ADDITIONAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
Performs special projects, and additional duties and responsibilities as required.
Consistently adheres to regulatory and compliance policies and standards linked to the job as listed and complete required compliance trainings. Accountable to maintain compliance with applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Required Qualifications:
Education level required: Undergraduate Degree (4 years or equivalent) in business analytics or finance related field or equivalent combination of training and experience.
Minimum experience required: 4 Years with financial data and reporting.
Experience with data analysis and visualization methods and solutions such as Python, Power BI, Tableau or similar.
Demonstrated track record using technology or analytics applications to achieve business objectives.
Job Competencies:
An appropriate level of proficiency with data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau to convert data into meaningful dashboards for insight generation.
Knowledge of and the ability to apply the fundamental concepts, practices and procedures used in the assigned line of business.
Knowledge of technology and dependencies / inter-dependencies between systems.
Data lineage and process documentation skills.
Good project coordination and organizational skills.
Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication and presentation skills.
A high degree of professional maturity appropriate for interactions with Bank stakeholders beyond CR.
Strong attention to detail, a dedication to quality and process discipline, and enthusiasm for learning.
Demonstrates a strong ability to build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders by communicating clearly, engaging in proactive collaboration, and leveraging cross functional insights. Willingness to travel if needed.
