Our client is seeking an experienced IT Technician to join their team in Roseville, MI. This is an onsite, contract position with the opportunity for direct hire after 6 months based on performance. This position is part of a team responsible for supporting approximately 600 plus Windows users, PC’s, and printers. The IT Technician is within the support organization, providing day-to-day user support, after hours on call rotations, computer hardware and software support, network support, etc.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as first contact for all end user hardware/software issues, etc.
- Offering technical support on-site or via phone, remote assistance software or email.
- Answer support requests through online help desk ticketing software.
- Create and deploy PC images to support various computer hardware and departments.
- Install new PCs and other peripherals.
- Troubleshoot end user connectivity issues.
- Troubleshoot hardware/software issues on end user computers.
- Maintain software and hardware inventory lists.
- Work with third party vendors on equipment warranty repairs and returns.
- Assist with server software and hardware issues.
Qualifications:
- Associates degree in IT or computer sciences is preferred
- 3+ Years of experience in Windows operating systems (7,10,11).
- 2+ Years of experience in PC hardware support.
- Familiarity with TCP/IP networking.
- Ability to communicate technical issues with non-technical individuals.
- Good troubleshooting skills.
- Able to work well with external customers as well as internal teams
