FLSA Status: Exempt - Administrative
Job Mission:
Coordinate assigned health and nutrition services to maximize accessibility and utilization to combat food insecurity and social barriers to healthcare among older adults, families, and children.
Performance Standards:
1. Manage daily operations and monitoring of the Emergency Food Assistance program (TEFAP), ensuring program compliance and efficiency.
2. Engage with Gleaners and sponsored partner sites to coordinate the allocation, ordering, and distribution of TEFAP food.
3. Assist with annual eligibility documentation, site trainings, and monitoring for all sponsored TEFAP partner sites; perform outreach to enroll new sites.
4. Responsible for coordinating of warehouse operations such as receiving, inspecting, receipting, loading and unloading incoming and outgoing TEFAP commodities food..
5. Assist with the physical movement of food, including lifting and transporting pallets and boxes as needed.
6. Carry out all other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Qualifications:
1. Associate’s Degree in health/human services or related field, or 3 years of experience coordinating and/or delivering health and nutrition services. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
2. Two (2) years of experience in human services required.
3. One (1) year of experience with program coordination, food distribution, warehouse operations and/or logistics preferred.
4. Two (2) years of experience with Microsoft excel spreadsheets and in Microsoft office applications required; knowledge of Office 365 preferred.
5. Must be able to lift 50 pounds, operate a pallet jack, and be physically active for several hours per day.
6. Hi-lo/forklift certification required.
7. Valid Michigan driver’s license, current automobile insurance, and an automobile to be used for job related travel are required.
