Cyber Systems Engineering Manager Sterling Heights, MI Contract Position $82.13-$85.70/Hour Join a team dedicated to designing and producing armored combat and support vehicles. Responsibilities: * Lead Cyber architecture, evaluation, testing, and compliance efforts in support of C5ISR integration for U.S. ground combat platforms. * Serve as an engineering manager guiding cross-functional teams on Cyber scope integration, ensuring alignment with schedule, compliance, and system-level design. * Develop and manage system-level requirements, including performance, SWaP-CRaM (space, weight, power, cooling, reliability, and maintenance), and interface allocations. * Support and enforce Cyber best practices and cultural adoption across the engineering enterprise. * Lead trade studies and structured decision-making for system and subsystem designs to optimize balance across space, power, cost, and performance. * Oversee verification planning and execution, including testing at production and field sites. * Participate in root cause analysis and resolution of integration, design, and production issues. * Evaluate and review design milestones, CDRLs, and technical artifacts for contractual and technical accuracy. * Interface with platform IPTs on threat analysis, compliance, and requirements decomposition. * Assess emerging Cyber and C5ISR technologies for potential integration into future platforms. * Manage and participate in design peer reviews. Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field required; relevant Cyber certifications and management credentials considered. * Must be eligible to obtain a U.S. security clearance (Non-U.S. citizens may not be eligible). * Minimum 10 years of engineering experience, preferably in military, embedded, or defense-related systems. * Experience with cyber systems engineering, including cyber-physical security and embedded systems. * Familiarity with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) concepts. * Background in military vehicle development, systems integration, and troubleshooting. * Proficiency in interpreting high-level customer requirements and translating into detailed cyber requirements. * Understanding of cyber warfare, both offensive and defensive, and related system security principles. * Knowledge of electrical LRUs, embedded electronics, and hardware/software integration. * Experience with software engineering principles and secure computing environments. * Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Project). * Ability to travel up to 15% (domestic and occasional international). * Must be able to work in and around military vehicles and pass the Anthropometric Size Requirement (ASR) test for confined spaces.
