Local Madison Heights steel tube manufacturing plant is seeking a Shipping manager to oversee day-to-day operations for outgoing finished goods. Responsibilities in this role include managing warehouse personnel, comparing shipments with manifests, inventory management, ensures on time and correct delivery of products to a variety of customers, communicating effectively with production team and management, while maintaining a safe and effective workforce. Must comply with common safety practices throughout the plant. Must have steel industry and overhead crane experience.

Pay: $60-70K BOE
Qualifications: (an ideal candidate will possess the following)
- Previous Shipping & Receiving Experience
- Previous Manufacturing Experience (8 years) or Bachelor Degree in Related Field
- Customer Service Experience (2 years)
- Strong Supervision Experience in Union Environment (5 years)
- Previous Knowledge of the Steel Industry
- Overhead Crane/Forklift/Material Handling Experience
- Must be able to walk long distances daily during a 8-12hrs shift, bend, twist, stoop, sit, kneel, crawl, push and pull. Able to reach in all directions.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
- Work 50+ Hours Per Week
