Overview:
As a Skilled Trades Recruiter at Express Employment Professionals, you’ll play a critical role in sourcing, screening, and placing candidates in roles across the skilled trades sector. You will work closely with clients in manufacturing, logistics, construction, and industrial environments to understand their needs and match them with top-tier talent. Your work helps businesses run smoothly and provides individuals with meaningful employment opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:

Source and recruit candidates for skilled trades positions including welders, machinists, electricians, CNC operators, HVAC techs, maintenance mechanics, and more.

Conduct interviews, skills assessments, background checks, and reference checks.

Match candidate qualifications and goals with job opportunities.

Maintain strong relationships with clients and understand their current and future workforce needs.

Utilize a variety of sourcing methods including job boards, referrals, social media, and job fairs.

Manage the onboarding process including orientation and compliance.

Track metrics, submit reports, and maintain accurate documentation in ATS systems.

Promote safety awareness and compliance with OSHA and other safety standards.
Qualifications:

1–3 years of experience in staffing, recruiting, or human resources (skilled trades focus preferred).

Understanding of skilled trades terminology, certifications, and workforce dynamics.

Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.

Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
