The Position
Reporting directly to the Director of Adult/ Junior Tennis, the Tennis Coach
will teach lessons, classes, programs, clinics and events hosted at/by
Greater Midland Tennis Center. Any teaching outside of the Tennis Center
is prohibited unless approved by the immediate Supervisor or Executive
Director. The Tennis Coach will work to ensure members and guests of
Greater Midland have the best experience possible. The Tennis Coach
must maintain high personal standards and adhere to, and carry out, the
Purpose and Values of Greater Midland.
Major Job Responsibilities
- Teach lessons, classes, programs, clinics and events.
- Participate in regular staff trainings and meetings.
- Effectively communicate with members, guest and staff.
- Teach only at Greater Midland Tennis Center.
- Consistently demonstrate leadership behaviors aligned with Greater Midland Values.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience in the tennis industry (coaching, playing, etc.)
- Outstanding organizational and time management skills.
- A passion to create a memorable customer experience for our members and guests.
Physical Requirements
Office is located in the Greater Midland Tennis Center. Regular
communication and contact with employees and members. Occasional
keyboard activity and sitting at computer; standing and moving on court for extended periods of time.
Salary
$20-$30 per hour, based on experience
