Request (2) OBD Engineers to support Core OBD workstreams.
These positions requires an understanding of OBD monitors & to lead DV plan/workstream discussions & investigation of one or more monitors in the SoW Appendix. Also, requires experience creating scripts.
Positions need to be located in SE Michigan and require to be On-site a minimum 3-Days a week
There is no travel for these positions.
Program Overview:
· PT Dyno Development and process improvement
· Test development for DTCs in vehicle and HIL
· Trip planning and documentation.
Work Description:
Support delivery of program OBD testing through PT dyno and the development of test methods in HIL and vehicle for Hybrid modules.
Testing Requirements:
· Complete dyno development testing for 26+MY programs for OBD
· Develop OBD Test Plans and support execution and issue resolution
· Develop and test methods for OBD demonstration in HIL and on vehicle
Summary:
We are requesting to provide 2 OBD Engineers to support the Core workstreams listed. The support needs an understanding of the monitors and be able to lead the DV plan/workstream discussions and investigation of one or more of the Monitors in Appendix. The support should also have experience in script creation.
Project Duration: 6/01/2025 until 12/31/2025
Ford Responsibilities:
- Calibration tool hardware, Labor, laptops and the Cal tool licenses required to modify the calibration files supplied by Ford
- Instrumented Vehicles with required Catalyst
- Complete Aftertreatment Hardware
- Ford Engine/Transmission Controls (FGEC)
- Interface control and calibration assistance as required
- Facility access, Allen Park Test Lab, Truck Engine Engineering Building, etc.
- Access to Ford systems for facility scheduling and secure data transfer
- Hardware required to induce faulted conditions for testing
Suggested Job Role: OBD Calibration Core Engineer
Responsibilities:
- Data logging, data reduction, and summaries to Ford calibration lead demonstrating OBD targets / objectives.
- Develop conclusions and next steps related to data analysis
- Create work plans for robust OBD Development
- Create Tools/Scripts to improve monitor development
Detailed Requirements:
- Support Testing in vehicle, PT Dyno and HIL
- Work with Ford Controls/Calibration/Hardware Engineering teams to ensure Monitors meet regulation
- Perform testing to evaluate Demonstration methods are accurate
- Prepare vehicles/PT Dyno for testing with instrumentation and desired faulted conditions
- Manage meetings related to test issues or tool development
