Veoneer US Safety Systems, LLC has an opening for the position of Software Architect (Ref# SA69AM).
Work Location: 26360 American Drive, Southfield, MI 48034. Position may telecommute/work remotely 2 days per week. Position requires 5% domestic travel.
Job Duties: Technically lead the development of software architecture for microcontroller-based RCS (restraint control systems) automotive ECU products. Champion the quality, design, development, and release of assigned software project elements in accordance with the process. Analyze software requirements and system architecture. Evaluate change requests, analyze issues, perform basic functions of software design, code and test assigned new features, change requests, and defect fixes. Adapt to changing software release schedules and multitask in a fast-paced environment. Provide regular updates of assigned task progression to software lead for project planning, tracking, and oversight. Identify or propose product process or infrastructure improvements. Contribute current status, relevant data and constructive opinion at team/section meetings. Exemplify consensus building and team-focused behavior. Interface with product development teams. Use of C, Embedded C, CANalyzer, CANoe, Requirements Management tools, Enterprise Architect, Infineon Aurix Microcontroller tools (Compiler, Emulator, Simulator), LDRA, Tasking Compiler, iSYSTEM winIDEA, Codebeamer, AUTOSAR Builder, and DaVinci Configurator.
Requirements: This position requires a Bachelor’s degree or foreign academic equivalent in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field. Plus 5 years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation including Software Specialist, Product Development Engineer, Software Engineer, or related experience. Position requires 3 years of experience with developing software architecture for ECU products, CANalyzer, and AUTOSAR Builder. 40hrs/week.
