Contracted Dean of Student Services
Terms of Employment:
- Employment Type: Third-Party Contract
- Work Schedule: 201 days per school year
Contract Commitment & Compensation:
Salary Range: $42,840 – $46,000 (commensurate with experience and education)
Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree or equivalent college coursework required.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in education or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in an educational setting, teaching, or other significant work with youth.
- Demonstrated and verifiable record of excellent, positive, and productive relationships with administrators, teachers, parents, students, auxiliary staff, and the broader community.

- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Competency with technology and data entry systems.

Job Goal:
To manage and support student discipline in accordance with Board of Education policies and procedures, ensuring a safe and structured school environment.
Performance Responsibilities:
Student Discipline
- Supervise student behavior throughout the school and on buses.
- Administer disciplinary actions following Monroe Public Schools policies and procedures.
- Communicate with the principal or assistant principal regarding:
- Police involvement, including the School Resource Officer.
- Suspensions exceeding four (4) days.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date student discipline records in the district’s computer system.
- Serve as a liaison with courts, probation officers, attendance officers, and the School Resource Officer.
- Support staff with disciplinary issues when appropriate, progressive steps have been taken.
- Use video monitoring systems to investigate disciplinary incidents and vandalism.
- Assist in reviewing and updating school discipline guidelines.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the building principal.
