Veoneer US Safety Systems, LLC has an opening for the position of Lead Software Engineer (Ref# LSE69VB).
Work Location: 26360 American Drive, Southfield, MI 48034. Position may telecommute/work remotely 2 days per week.
Job Duties: Responsible for leading embedded software design and development of automotive RCS (restraint control systems) projects. Utilize advanced functional knowledge of modern electronic control circuits and a thorough knowledge of multicore microcontrollers. Establish and adhere to estimates in project work plan for assigned projects. Conduct weekly software Change Control Board meetings and work with stakeholders to define software milestone and release contents. Design, implement, and test modular embedded software for 16/32/64-bit multicore microcontroller-based RCS ECU products. Champion the quality, design, development, and release of assigned software project elements in accordance with a process. Evaluate change requests, analyze issues, and perform basic functions of software design, code, and test on assigned new features, change requests and defect fixes. Open-mindedness to adapt to changing software release schedules and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Identify or propose product process or infrastructure improvements. Provide regular updates of assigned project progression to software manager for project planning, tracking, and oversight. Use of C, Embedded C, CANalyzer, CANoe, Requirements Management tools, Enterprise Architect, Infineon Aurix Microcontroller tools (Compiler, Emulator, Simulator), Tasking Compiler, iSYSTEM winIDEA, AUTOSAR Builder, and DaVinci Configurator.
Requirements: This position requires a Bachelor’s degree or foreign academic equivalent in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field. Plus 5 years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation including Embedded Software Engineer or related experience. Position requires 5 years of experience with Embedded C, CANalyzer, and AUTOSAR Builder. 40hrs/week.
