Physical Therapy Clerk Aide
Rehab Aide - Part Time
Position summary: Works under the general supervision of the rehab director/manager/supervisor. Responsible for completing tasks associated with registration, insurance authorization, insurance verification, cashier, department scheduling, customer service inquiries, etc. Along with various administrative and support functions for department or mid-level management, to ensure the overall efficiency of the department. Assists in the promotion of quality care by keeping the environment clean, orderly, and safe. The rehabilitation clerk is expected to perform assigned tasks within the quality and productivity standards assigned to the position responsibilities.
Job Specific Duties:
- Greets customers promptly with a warm and friendly reception.
- Deliver quality customer service by answering incoming phone calls or contacting patients by phone to schedule/reschedule appointments and/or provide a reminder call for the next scheduled appointment.
- Always maintains professionalism and diplomacy, following specific standards as defined in the department's professionalism policy.
- Maintain total confidentiality of personal and financial data.
Qualifications:
Required:
- High School Diploma or GED
Preferred
- Prior scheduling, insurance authorization, and/or patient registration experience
- Two years of experience, preferably in a rehabilitation health care setting.
