Short & Sweet:This position requires responsibility for learning and then performing; the safe repair and troubleshooting of malfunctioning electrical or instrumentation systems, the recalibration of instruments, and performing mechanical maintenance and preventive maintenance paying attention to quality customer service. This entry level position is designed to develop the incumbent's qualification for advancement into a Maintenance technician position within twelve months.
Schedule: Must be flexible to train acorss all 3 shifts - once training is complete, a specific shift will be assigned to you. Must be able to work weekends & holiday's.

General Outline of Duties:
Complete basic trainings and weekly status reporting on progress to be able to perform mechanical duties such as repair and preventive maintenance of pumps, valves, conveyors, sprockets, and gear boxes
Troubleshoot and repair a wide variety of electromechanical devices up to a maximum of 480 volts.
Complete preventive maintenance work orders in a timely manner.
Troubleshoot process and equipment issues utilizing a variety of tools including but not limited to PLC, Multimeter, Megger, Simulator, Load cell tester, etc.
Work in accordance with all safe work practices at all times.
Minimum Qualifications:
Must be able to read, write and perform mathematical calculations
Good mechanical aptitude in a manufacturing environment
Must be able to lift 75 lbs. from floor to mid-chest (0" - 39") monthly
Must be able to climb stairs, inclined ladders, and vertical ladders hourly
Must be 18 years old
Must be able to support 24/7/365 operation including weekends and holidays
Must be 18 years old
Must be able to effectively communicate verbally and in writing
Associate degree in mechanical or electrical tradesorequivalent experience in industrial maintenance, machinist or electrical apprentice.
Preferred Qualifications:
Exposure and knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, variable frequency drives, electrical controls, instrumentation, mechanical and electrical schematics, welding, mechanical troubleshooting techniques.
Prior food industry experience, preferably in dairy industry
Safety/OSHA knowledge
Familiarity with welding, general construction, electrical, and inventory control processes in Maintenance setting
Knowledge and ability to manage continuous improvement processes such as Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, etc.
