We are currently seeking a Project Manager to work in our Flex Air division in Fenton, MI. Flex Air focuses on delivering industry-leading, high-performance modular mechanical and electrical systems, as well as Custom HVAC systems in the automotive, semiconductor, healthcare, and education sectors.

We are currently seeking an Electrical Engineer with PM Aspirations to work in our Project Management Team within our Flex Air division in Fenton, MI. Flex Air is focused on delivering industry leading and energy efficient high-performance HVAC systems. Every solution is meticulously engineered to meet and exceed our customer's expectations. Our products consist of custom air handling units, pre-fabricated modular systems and retrofits.
What You Will Be Doing
Using your Electrical Engineering background, you will be responsible for the following:
- Establish and be responsible for achieving an annual Project Revenue and Gross.
- Support the Project Delivery Organization in subcontractor selection and management.
- Coordinates with multiple internal departments, including Sales, Engineering, Manufacturing / Production and Service, as well as similar 3rd party suppliers, to deliver superior solutions and ensure total customer satisfaction and profitability.
- Collaborate with internal engineering and technical field personnel and 3rd party suppliers in the implementation of Electrical Power Delivery, Equipment, and Modular systems in a wide variety of applications for a customer(s) at multiple locations.
- Act in a direct execution role, acting as the primary customer interface, responsible for project schedule and cost baselines.
- Responsible for financial negotiations with the customer involving change orders and change directives.
- Provide frequent updates to management and customers for work status updates.
- Direct and manage project development from beginning to end including defining project scope, goals, and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with upper management.
- Draft and submit budgets, proposals, and recommend subsequent budget changes where necessary.
- Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and upper management in a time and clear fashion and estimate the resources and participants needed to achieve project goals.
- Delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel and identify and resolve issues and conflicts within the project team.
- Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools and identify and manage project dependencies and critical path.
- Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, required documents, and presentations.
- Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crisis, and devise contingency plans.

What Requirements Are Needed
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited college or university is required. At least 5 years of concurrent Electrical Engineering experience and looking to move into a Project Management role.
- Fundamental knowledge of mechanical, HVAC and building industries
- Excellent root cause analysis skills
- Ability to interact and provide direction to factory electricians
- Basic knowledge of Instrumentation and Controls systems. Experience in programming HVAC systems a plus
- Modular construction and Data Center experience is a plus
- Medium Voltage power distribution experience is a plus
