Position Title: Middle/High School Assistant Principal / MTSS Coordinator
Reports To: Superintendent and Lead Principal
Salary: Determined by the PAASA contract

Qualifications:

Master’s degree or higher in Educational Administration
-
Valid Michigan Administrator Certificate
-
At least three years of successful experience in public school administration and/or supervision preferred
-
Experience in student discipline preferred
-
Strong communication and writing skills
-
Proficiency in computer programs
-

Duties and Responsibilities:
-
Provide leadership in developing and maintaining high-quality educational programs and services for secondary students
-
Ensure a safe learning environment and enforce the student handbook
-
Coordinate, supervise, and maintain MTSS (Multi-Tiered System of Supports) programs
-
Collaborate with the Elementary MTSS Coordinator
-
Conduct teacher evaluations
-
Lead and monitor district-wide MTSS implementation aligned with district vision
-
Organize and lead school MTSS committees with representatives from each school and key stakeholders
-
Facilitate effective instructional design and practices for diverse learners
-
Oversee development of Tier 1, 2, and 3 intervention protocols and data-based decision-making strategies

Implement secondary universal screening for academics, social-emotional learning, and behavior
-
Design and deliver training and coaching for leadership teams, staff, and teachers on MTSS frameworks and best practices

Implement an MTSS management system and partner with schools for data collection, analysis, and program evaluation

Participate in in-service training

Demonstrate initiative, follow supervisory directives, and maintain confidentiality

Perform additional duties as assigned
