SUMMARY Enterprise Risk Management facilitates the identification, management, mitigation and monitoring of top risks across the enterprise. The ERM Analyst supports the department in these efforts in the following ways: developing dashboards and metrics which are reported to senior leadership and board committees; assisting in stress testing, scenario modeling, and financial analysis for the enterprise; playing a key role in the creation of rating and regulatory filings which summarize risk, solvency and financial performance; supports monthly financial reporting and annual capital planning processes ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. * Produce routine risk and financial reporting for senior leadership and board committees. * Assist in quantification of risk exposure and development of robust scenarios for stress testing and financial analysis. * Conduct analysis to identify and assess internal and external emerging risks. * Assist with financial assessment and monitoring activities for priority enterprise risks and annual risk refresh process; Develop new reporting templates, dashboards and documentation for new processes. * Act as a subject matter expert for MetricStream, the enterprise's governance, risk management and compliance system used to monitor and report on risks throughout the enterprise. * Use Oracle Enterprise Resource Planning platform to report and analyze variances to financial performance. * Provide support for designated department and corporate efforts. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE * Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Business, Mathematics or related field required. * Four (4) years of related experience in Finance, Actuarial, Risk Management or Business field. Risk exposure quantification and scenario modeling experience preferred. * Healthcare, finance, ERM or insurance experience preferred. OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES * Broad knowledge of BCBSM business, history, goals and organizational structure. Knowledge and understanding of financial and actuarial concepts. * Ability to work effectively in a team environment with tight deadlines and build cross-functional relationships. * Ability to develop and quantify risk exposures, design appropriate risk scenarios and stress tests. Ability to produce timely, accurate and effective reports. * Excellent analytical, organizational, planning and written/verbal communication skills. * Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access) and PC flowcharting tools. * Proficiency with Oracle ERP platform (Hyperion/EPBCS/SM) for financial analysis. * Other related skills and/or abilities may be required to perform this job.
