Position Summary(Basic Job Function)
This is a temporary or an on-call position. Provides professional support. Responsibilities may include general business, science, medical, agricultural or other professional support functions. Term: Temps can work two (2) nine (9) month terms with a week break in service in between and at the end of the second term terminate for three (3) months or switch to an on-call. On-Call allowed to work 1039 hours in any twelve (12) month period.
Unit Position Summary
The College of Nursing is seeking temporary research assistants to assist with a variety of tasks related to various research assignments for the Food-Body-Mind, a mindfulness-based lifestyle intervention to promote physical and mental well-being among children and their families. NO PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE is required.
Responsibilities will vary; however duties may include but will not be limited to:
- Maintain schedule in Outlook
- Schedule meetings
- Data collection
- Data analysis
- Development of procedures
- Data entry
- Transportation of supplies to sites
- Contacting study participants
- General office duties
- Scheduling project meetings
- Notetaking
- Conduct literature reviews and searches
- Prepare a variety of materials for the grant
- Prepare reports as needed
- Draft communication
- Proofreads documents for accuracy
- Room reservations/event planning
- Assisting faculty with grant work as needed
The rate of pay will be between $12.48-$30/hour, depending on duties and grant/assignment funding. The average amount of hours per week will be between 20-40 and will typically be between the hours of 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Occasional nights and weekends might be warranted, depending on the needs of the assignment assigned. The positions are scheduled to start in August 2025 with a length of employment up to 12 months with the possibility of extension, dependent on grant funding.
