Ability to work independently, typically 40+ hours per week is required. Ability to maintain a professional home office without distraction during workday, typically 9-5 (or 8-4) or as defined by the school.\n\nEssential Functions: Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential duties.\n\n * Provides direct, engaging synchronous and asynchronous learning experiences for students daily (hours are determined by state/client needs)\n\n * Provides targeted, personalized feedback using a variety of techniques\n\n * Differentiates instruction based on student level of mastery\n\n * Schedules time daily to access learning management system and review student progress and grade submitted assignments\n\n * Creates a welcoming class environment adhering to course set-up and management guidelines\n\n * Actively learns and engages in curriculum\n\n * Analyzes student data and identifies appropriate actions that improve student achievement\n\n * Adheres to state and client specific policies and procedures, meeting non-negotiable deadlines\n\n * Supports in-class facilitators with classroom management, curricular and instructional issues, as well as basic troubleshooting in a virtual classroom environment that is in line with policies and procedures\n\n * Commitment to personalizing learning for all students\n\n * Ability to attend monthly data analysis meetings, work collaboratively with other teachers to interpret and produce numeric, tabular, and graphic representations of student data, and use it to drive instructional decisions\n\n * Complete additional trainings as part of teacher induction program and annually as required\n\n * Creates and/or Augments course content according to prescribed policies and procedures using appropriate asynchronous and synchronous tools under guidance from manager and content team\n\n * Establish and maintain positive rapport with families and proactively communicates with all stakeholders in a timely manner\n\n * Obtains additional State certifications as requested and maintains all active certifications.\n\n * Works on additional projects, as needed\n\n * Demonstrates a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion with all stakeholders\n\nMINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:\n\n * Bachelor's degree\n\n * Active state teaching license\n\n * Ability to clear required background check\n\nOTHER REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:\n\n * Ability to complete training within two weeks\n\n * Receptive to receiving coaching on a regular basis with administrators and teacher trainers\n\n * Ability to embrace change and adapt to ensure excellent student outcomes\n\n * Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint\n\n * Ability to rapidly learn and adapt to new technologies and teaching platforms\n\nDESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:\n\n * Experience working with proposed age group\n\n * Experience supporting adults and children in the use of technology\n\n * Experience teaching in a synchronous environment such as Zoom or Newrow\n\n * Experience with online learning platforms\n\nCompensation and Benefits: We anticipate the hourly rate to be up to $22/hr. Eligible employees may receive a bonus. This salary is not guaranteed, as an individual's compensation can vary based on several factors. These factors include, but are not limited to, geographic location, experience, training, education, and local market conditions.
