- Must be familiar with the basic machine functions
- Performs typical machine operations and produces parts per posted instructions
- Loads and unloads parts into CNC Machines
- Inspects parts with precision and measuring tools
- Assembles parts per posted instructions
- Detects and reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor
- Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean condition and follows all safety regulations
- Completes any logs that may be required for the assigned area
- Sorts and packs parts
- Loads and unloads parts into a Washer
- Performs general cleaning and housekeeping duties throughout the shop area

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a non-exempt, full-time position (40 hours per week) with three different shift types:
- 1st shift: 7am-3:30pm
- 2nd shift: 3:15pm-11:45pm
- 3rd shift: 11:15pm-7:45am
Eligibility Qualifications
- Understanding of manufacturing environment (e.g., Hilo traffic, inventory, safety protocols, quality systems, inspection frequencies, etc.)
- Proven experience as a machine operator
- Understanding of production procedures
- Ability to read and comprehend Work Instructions
- Knowledge of basic gaging and attention to detail
- Adherence to health and safety regulations (e.g., constant use of protective gear, etc.)
- Knowledge of deburring equipment (e.g., Bench/Handheld Grinders/Sanders, Files, Sandpaper, Scotchbrite pads, etc.)
- Physical stamina and strength
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- May be required to lift parts weighing up to 50 pounds
