Job Summary:
The One Stop Specialist leads the daily operations of the One Stop student services area, ensuring an efficient, student-centered experience by integrating cashiering, enrollment services, and student account support. This position serves as a primary resource for students, faculty, and staff, providing exceptional customer service while coordinating student financial transactions, enrollment processes, and policy compliance. The Specialist plays a key role in process improvement, data integrity, and cross-departmental collaboration to enhance service delivery. Additionally, this role provides advanced problem resolution, student employee training, and technology support to optimize operational efficiency.
Essential Functions:
1. Leads the daily operations of the One Stop student services area, ensuring seamless integration of cashiering, enrollment services, and student account support to enhance the student experience. 2. Serves as the primary point of escalation for complex student account, financial, and enrollment-related issues, coordinating with relevant departments to implement effective solutions. 3. Registers early college students, communicates scheduling updates or errors to the Associate Director, Admissions, and ensures seamless enrollment for participating students. 4. Assists with the registration processes for academic programs, including traditional, dual-enrolled, direct credit, guest, and personal interest students, ensuring accuracy and compliance with institutional policies and state and federal regulations. 5. Ensures all payment processing, waivers, and accounts receivable functions comply with institutional policies, state and federal regulations, and audit standards to minimize financial risk. 6. Accurately receives and processes tuition, fees, and other student payments. Prepares bank deposits, receipts, daily reports, and reconciliations while maintaining financial integrity. 7. Provides students with financial aid information and assistance with FAFSA completion and financial aid forms. Collects financial aid documents and answers basic financial aid questions. 8. Identifies opportunities to streamline One Stop processes, leveraging technology and best practices to improve service delivery, reduce wait times, and enhance transaction accuracy. 9. Ensures the accuracy of student records, financial transactions, and enrollment data. Prepares reports and analyzes trends to support decision-making and strategic planning for student services. 10. Assists department in the creation, implementation, and enforcement of policies related to registration, enrollment, student payments, waivers, refunds, and account holds, ensuring clarity and consistency. 11. Develops and delivers training for frontline student workers on customer service excellence, compliance updates, and cross-functional responsibilities.

· High school diploma required. · Demonstrated experience in customer service in a busy public environment with a professional demeanor. · High level of confidentiality and data security. · Excellent Microsoft Office, strong interpersonal, organizational and customer service skills. · Additional Desirable Qualifications: · Associate degree. · Experience in accounting, accounts receivable, or bookkeeping. · Experience in a higher education setting. · Experience with a student information system. · Knowledge of FERPA , data security, and financial best practices.

Salary Range: $16.42 - $18.50
