Oneida County is accepting applications to fill a full-time Human Resources Director position with the Labor Relations/Employee Services Office.
JOB SUMMARY
This County Board appointed leadership position is responsible for personnel and labor relations duties as established by the Executive Committee and County Board, and under the supervision of the Executive Committee shall administer personnel policies as set forth by Chapter 4 of the Oneida County Code. Job duties include planning, organizing and directing the activities of the LRES Office, serve as Chief Negotiator and Spokesperson with regard to communicating with bargaining groups, oversee recruitment strategies and processes, identifies laws, reporting and compliance requirements pertaining to Human Resource functions, administers employee classification, compensation and benefit programs, conducts exit interviews, oversees the termination process, and identifies and recommends various resources for compensation, benefit and personnel legal matters. The position assists the Administrative Coordinator and County Board Committees in analyzing organizational designs, identifying efficiencies and developing a system for employee performance evaluation. This position also develops and oversees disciplinary policies and practices, and assists and guides departments in the performance evaluation and improvement process, with the positive objective of improving employee performance. The position oversees the County Civil Rights Compliance and Employee Health Enhancement Programs, and serves as the Loss Control Coordinator.
WAGES AND BENEFITS
The 2025 annual salary is $103,779 to $118,605 plus excellent benefit package, including Wisconsin Retirement benefits, affordable health insurance and a PTO (Paid Time Off) package with the ability to carry unused PTO into future years.
