Facilities and Grounds Technicican

Duties:

• Performs skilled maintenance and repair work on county buildings, equipment, and grounds.
• Inspects, maintains, and repairs heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems.
• Installs and repairs plumbing, electrical fixtures, and computer wiring.
• Maintains security, audio/video, power equipment, and communication systems.
• Completes carpentry projects, services boilers and locks, assembles and moves furniture, and transports records and supplies.
• Maintains grounds by mowing, trimming, snow removal, and performing seasonal cleanup; repairs related equipment.
• Clears and treats parking lots and walkways.
• Operates various tools and equipment related to maintenance and groundskeeping tasks.

Educations and Experience:

• High School diploma or its equivalent and two years of experience in skilled building maintenance or grounds care.

Special Requirements:

• Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license with access to a reliable vehicle throughout the course of employment.
• Duties will require the ability to lift up to 70 pounds, stand, sit, squat, or kneel for extended periods.
• Must be able to work as part of a team and independently.
