Job Summary:
This is a 25 hour per week, hourly position. Assists students with enrollment process, provides general information, instructs students in use of technology, and accomplishes multiple data entry tasks and evaluation of data. Provides support for advisors, and BEMC Mentors and supports relationship with high school staff. Assists with project management for Berrien Talent Collaborative (BTC ), including apprentice tracking and employer relations databases and training. Performs specialized tasks, based on expertise, interest, and/or departmental needs.
Essential Functions:
1. Assists students and visitors by providing information, directions, and forms in person, by phone or email. Guides students through enrollment process and in completion of enrollment steps. 2. Administers Accuplacer Assessment testing, including Multiple Measures Assessments, and enters scores into Banner. 3. Provides basic informational advising, such as assessment results, completing registration forms, basic program information, faculty location/contact info, and other relevant info. 4. Assists early college (EC) students with application, placement, enrollment, and registration processes. Assists in communication and reports to EC students’ home high schools. 5. Assists with dissemination of purchased textbooks for students at Niles campus. 6. Makes advising appointments and follows up (reminder calls and appointment management.) 7. Instructs students in use of technology to obtain and submit information (admissions applications, degree audits, course registrations, financial aid accounts, financial accounts, personal data, drop/add/withdrawal, and changes in major.) 8. Develops and executes calendar of student engagement events and support activities. 9. Assists students, staff, and K12 partners with early middle college (EMC ) and dual enrollment registration processes and timelines. 10. Helps with BTC project management, like apprentice tracking and employer outreach databases. 11. Registers students for academic and short-term training classes. 12. Assists students with payment processes. 13. Provides financial aid info and assists students with financial aid forms, like FAFSA and Federal Direct Loan Applications. Collects financial aid documents such as verification request forms and tax returns. Assists with questions or issues by use of Banner financial aid screens. 14. Assists with student tracking system and maintains student drop lists each semester. 15. Assists with preparation of schedule of LMC classes at Bertrand Innovation Center. 16. Responds to faculty requests for help with classes, technology, or processes. Provides clerical support, material preparation, and general assistance to faculty and staff. 17. Evaluates and enters data and produces reports when requested.

Associate degree and excellent word processing and spreadsheet experience required. Strong interpersonal, organizational, and customer service skills. Ability to multi-task in a busy public environment. Understanding of data confidentiality and security. Positions at Lake Michigan College require regular and predicable on-site attendance as an essential job functions. Salary Range: $16.42 - $20.60
