Job Summary
Under the general supervision of a Road Patrol Sergeant, the Deputy Sheriff patrols roads within Saginaw County to enforce criminal and traffic laws, ensuring the protection of the public and property. Responsibilities include responding to dispatched calls or complaints, investigating accidents, writing reports, serving warrants, and performing related tasks to serve the community. Additional duties encompass providing building security at various county and contracted facilities, as well as transporting inmates to and from court or other agencies.
Qualifications

Education: High school diploma or equivalent. An Associate's Degree in law enforcement or a closely related area is preferred.

Certification: Must be MCOLES certified or certifiable.

Screening: Must successfully complete the employment screening process, which may include oral evaluations, psychological assessments, physical and drug screenings, and a comprehensive background investigation.
