Job Overview The machine builder is responsible for constructing and assembling a variety equipment including material transporters, tanks, and pump assemblies. Responsibilities * Read mechanical blueprints and technical diagrams * Assemble machine parts and components * Complete basic equipment component wiring * Test completed equipment to ensure proper functionality * Collaborate with engineers and other team members to troubleshoot and solve issues * Keep work area clean and organized * Develop less experienced Machine Builders through on the job training as necessary. * Effectively and safely operating hand and power tools, mills, lathes, drill presses, surface grinders, saws, and shears * Disassembles, prepares and crates parts and equipment for shipment to customers * Follow safety protocols and procedures * Completes appropriate job paperwork * Maintain tools and equipment Requirements * High school diploma or equivalent * Previous experience in machine building or a related field * Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints * Knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems * Familiarity with various hand and power tools * Strong problem-solving and communication skills
