Massie Manufacturing, Inc., a state-of-the-art welding and fabrication specialist, seeks a part-time Shop Janitor/Maintenance person in Baraga, Michigan.
This is a great opportunity for someone who takes pride in their work, enjoys keeping things tidy and functional, and likes to stay busy with hands-on tasks. In this role, you’ll play an important part in creating a clean, safe, and organized environment for both our staff and our visitors. We’re not just looking for someone to check off a list — we’re looking for someone who takes initiative, spots what needs to be done, and gets it done with care.
What We Offer:
- $16 – $20 per hour based on skills and experience.

- Part-time flexible schedule working 8 – 12 hours weekly.
What You Will Do:
- Sweep shop walkways, driveways, and shared areas.
- Weekly cleaning of washroom and shop restroom.
- Empty trash and returnable containers regularly.
- Basic facility upkeep like changing light bulbs, furnace filters, etc.
- Keep the grounds clean and free of debris.
- Help with shop organization and workspace improvements.
- Assist with small fixes and improvements as needed.
- Operate a forklift (we’ll train the right person).
What We Are Looking For:
- A self-starter who’s motivated and reliable.
- Someone mechanically inclined with hands-on know-how in fixings things.
- Someone who works well without constant direction.
- Must be able to operate (or be willing to learn) a forklift.
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening.
