Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and versatile Maintenance Technician / Engineering Hybrid to join our team in Jackson, MI. Requirements:
- Mandatory:

- CNC machining experience with:
- Fanuc
- Mardea
- Barton Olivers
- Haas
- DMC
- Swiss-style machines
Preferred but not required:
- Journeyman status
- Electrician certification or experience
Job Summary:
This role blends Maintenance (up to 80%) and Engineering (up to 20%) responsibilities. You will engage in machine repair, preventive maintenance, and project-based engineering initiatives across building systems, grounds, utilities, and production equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintenance Duties (up to 80%)
- Diagnose, repair, and install machinery, tools, and equipment.
- Review and complete work orders.
- Maintain utilities (electric, air, heating, etc.)
- Conduct inspections and preventative maintenance.
- Communicate service needs and coordinate parts orders.
- Ensure compliance with all safety policies and procedures.
Engineering Support (up to 20%)
- Troubleshoot manufacturing process issues.
- Assist with Capital Expenditure Requests.
- Support equipment design and tooling improvements.
- Collaborate with technicians and train operators on new processes.
- Lead or support cross-functional projects.
Qualifications:
Maintenance Requirements:
- 4+ years of experience in manufacturing maintenance.
- Skilled in electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electronic systems.
- PLC troubleshooting and programming (Relay Logic & PLS).
- Blueprint and schematic reading.
- Hands-on repair of automation and PCB systems.
Engineering Capabilities:
- Applied knowledge of manufacturing engineering.
- Familiarity with production processes, quality systems, and cost control.
- CAD and blueprint development.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and project leadership skills.
- Experience with CNC machining, turning, and tooling.
Physical Demands & Work Conditions:

- Standing, walking, bending, kneeling, lifting (up to 50 lbs solo, 50+ with assistance)
