The Accessibility/LLS Test Monitor must be motivated, a quick learner, adept at highly-detailed, often digital work. This position will gain experience working with accessibility, including but not limited to closed captioning, .pdf accessibility, web-based content, non-web-based content, and instructional content. This position will also be responsible for test administration and monitoring activities in the Testing Center in the Library and Learning Services (LLS) department.
Examples of Duties
- Provide closed captions to multimedia using proper grammar, spelling, and syntax.
- Review existing closed captioning and revise it as necessary.
- Provide alternative text to images in digital and non-digital formats.
- Complete accessibility training as assigned.
- Reformat and revise documents and content (web-based and non-web-based) to adhere to accessibility standards.
- Use accessibility training and standards to ensure documents, content, etc. is as accessible as possible.
- Schedule testing appointments and correspond with faculty and students regarding tests.
- Greet all examinees, faculty, and staff professionally and courteously.
- Keep accurate log/tracking of examinees, tests taken, and test start/end times. Document and report any testing irregularities, including concerns problems, or issues.
- Maintain confidentiality and security of the Testing Center by ensuring material storages are locked/monitored at all times.
- Supports and serves as a role model for our mission, vision, strategic and service initiatives. Adheres to the organization’s policies & procedures and compliance guidelines.
- Per the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act (Clery Act),a federal consumer protection law, your job position entails functions that meet the definition of a Campus Security Authority (CSA). CSAs have a duty to report any crime to the College’s Clery Compliance Officer. This information may be disclosed to them directly, through third-party, or witnessed. As a CSA, you are required to complete annual training which is provided by the College. This training encompasses your role, responsibilities, and reporting obligations.

Typical Qualifications
Education, Certification, Licensure
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Associate’s degree in Office, Clerical, or Business-related field and/or related work experience preferred.
Experience
- Experience working in a customer service related field is preferred.
- Some office clerical experience is preferred, including keyboarding, internet, and Google Suite.
