Copper Country Community Mental Health Services seeks a full-time Billing Specialist to join their Financial Administrative team in Houghton, Michigan.
WHAT YOU WILL DO.
- Process Billing & Claims: Handle third-party insurance and consumer billing, ensuring timely and accurate submissions.
- Verify Insurance Policies: Confirm insurance details and coverage for services.
- Claims Processing: Work with insurers to resolve discrepancies and process claims efficiently.
- Provider Enrollment: Assist with enrolling and managing providers within insurance systems.
- Ensure Billing Integrity: Ensure all billing is accurate and complies with industry standards.
- Ability to Pay Setup: Help set up payment plans for consumers, ensuring they can access necessary services.
WHAT WE OFFER.
- $17.32 – $23.94 per hour based on knowledge and experience.

- Full-time Monday – Friday position generally working 8am – 5pm.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR.
- Associate’s degree in a business-related field or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
- Excellent computer skills, with advanced knowledge of Excel (pivot tables, v-lookups, etc.).
- Billing or coding experience is preferred, but not required.
- Strong ability to work with numbers and stay organized, ensuring accuracy in all aspects of billing.
