Who We Want
We are currently seeking an Electrical Project Manager to work in our Flex Air division at our Copper Ave. location in Fenton, MI. Flex Air is focused on delivering industry-leading and energy-efficient high-performance HVAC systems. Every solution is meticulously engineered to meet and exceed our customer's expectations. Our products consist of custom air handling units, prefabricated modular systems and retrofits.
What You Will Be Doing
• Establish and be responsible for achieving an annual Project Revenue and Gross.
• Support the Project Delivery Organization in subcontractor selection and management.
• Coordinates with multiple internal departments, including Sales, Engineering, Manufacturing / Production and Service, as well as similar 3rd party suppliers, to deliver superior solutions and ensure total customer satisfaction and profitability.
• Collaborate with internal engineering and technical field personnel and 3rd party suppliers in the implementation of Electrical Power Delivery, Equipment, and Modular systems in a wide variety of applications for a customer(s) at multiple locations.
• Act in a direct execution role, acting as the primary customer interface, responsible for project schedule and cost baselines.
• Responsible for financial negotiations with the customer involving change orders and change directives.
• Provide frequent updates to management and customers for work status updates.
• Direct and manage project development from beginning to end including defining project scope, goals, and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with upper management.
• Draft and submit budgets, proposals, and recommend subsequent budget changes where necessary.
• Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and upper management in a time and clear fashion and estimate the resources and participants needed to achieve project goals.
• Delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel and identify and resolve issues and conflicts within the project team.
• Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools and identify and manage project dependencies and critical path.
• Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, required documents, and presentations.
• Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crisis, and devise contingency plans.
• Define project success criteria and disseminate them to involved parties throughout project life cycle.
• Coach, mentor, motivate and supervise project team members and contractors, and influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work.
• Build, develop, and grow any business relationships vital to the success of the project.

What Requirements Are Needed
• BSEE or BSME Engineering degree or equivalent practical work experience (electrical trade) or educational background.
• Minimum of 5+ years in industry in electrical trade.
• PMP / PMI Certified with proven ability to execute PMI or equivalent project management methodologies, standards and systems.
• Deep understanding of technical disciplines (electrical, mechanical, controls).
• Work well within a team environment and provide input and feedback to both associates and customers for activity planning and technical solutions.
• Lead the planned activities for multiple projects, and be accountable for the success or failure of the solution.
• Strong ability to proactively identify, mitigate, and resolve complex execution risks and project issues.
• Ability to adapt to dramatic changes in customer requirements and be flexible to accommodate changes without impacting financials or employee morale.
•Communicate financial and time impacts to management and the customer.
• Think consequentially in all aspects of the major customer relationship including the ability to identify issues whether commercial, technical, or schedule related before they occur.
• Present project activity and financial updates on projects/applications to large audience of customers and/or associates.
