Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Engineering, or other related field from an accredited college or university; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Education is secondary to experience for this position but will be considered when the candidate is on the lower end of the experience requirements.
- This position requires educating less experienced team members, both construction and project managers as well as project stakeholders.
- Proficient at managing contract documents, reading plans and specifications, and enforcing contract requirements.
- Professional Memberships/Certifications of related field.
- Knowledge of production plants, including coordinating work while the plant operates, lock out tag out, hot work permits, etc. Or experience with transmission distribution system assets in the right-of-way including utility location, coordination with government entities, traffic control, etc.
- Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills, with ability to effectively communicate with technical and non-technical audiences.
- Must have experience with Microsoft Office and be able to learn specialized construction management tools (E.g., Unity, Procor, etc.) Possesses proficiency with fundamental collaboration tools for real-time communication.
- Must have valid MI driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
Preferred:
- Holds Certified Construction Manager (CCM), Project Management Professional (PMP), or similar certification/license.
- Strategic planning on large, complex projects requiring foresight in resource allocation, timeline adjustments, and high-level risk management.

CM IV:
Required:
- Must have a minimum of eight years of related experience in construction management, capital project management or utility projects, with a minimum three years' experience with managing and enforcing construction contracts.
CM V:
Essential Functions:
- Act as a mediator to resolve disputes with construction contractors, ensuring a collaborative approach to problem-solving.
- Engages with community members and local regulatory authorities to address concerns and promote transparency of capital projects.
- Gains an understanding of broader business implications. Provide recommendations on legal contracts related to constructability, permitting, and other areas within the preview of owners representative.
Required:
- Must have a minimum of ten years of related experience in construction management, capital project management or utility projects, with a minimum five years’ experience with managing and enforcing construction contracts.
Preferred:
- Advanced contract negotiation skills.

Works in temperature-controlled office environment, with occasional work in outdoor weather conditions, and in industrial environments.
