Tools & CI / CD Integration Engineer Sterling Heights, MI Contract Position $66.42-$71.42/Hour Join a team dedicated to designing and producing armored combat and support vehicles. As a prime mover in ground force capabilities, this firm provides innovative solutions that ensure the safety and effectiveness of military personnel worldwide, focusing on durability, mobility, and performance. Responsibilities: * Manage and optimize a modern CI/CD pipeline for embedded vehicle software in a newly established development environment. * Setup, configure, and maintain a comprehensive software development tools pipeline. * Leverage and customize GitLab and Git for complex embedded software builds. * Integrate a wide range of tools into the development pipeline, including static code analysis, software Bill of Materials (SBOM), and dynamic testing tools. * Utilize GitLab, Bitbucket, GIT, Eclipse, Jira, Confluence, and debugging tools such as gdb. * Apply Agile methodologies and CI/CD best practices to support iterative software delivery. * Collaborate on Linux-based system programming, including device drivers, bootloaders, and memory map configuration. * Maintain build environments such as Buildroot, OpenEmbedded, Python, and Yocto. * Support system security features including SELinux, verified boot, and trusted execution environments. * Work on safety-critical and real-time systems as needed. * Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications: * Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering required. * 7-10 years of relevant work experience in software development or DevOps roles. * Ability to Obtain Secret Clearance * U.S. Citizenship may be required to obtain a government security clearance. * Proficiency with CI/CD tools and practices, including GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or ArgoCD. * Experience applying GitOps principles for automated deployments. * Strong scripting skills using Bash, Python, Go, or similar languages for operational automation. * Capable of developing and maintaining long-life C and/or C++ codebases. * Able to troubleshoot low-level software issues and differentiate between software and hardware faults. * Experience maintaining Linux-based build environments (Buildroot, Yocto, etc.). * Familiarity with secure software practices and features (SELinux, verified boot, etc.). * Proficient in Microsoft Office suite. * Prior experience with ground combat vehicles is highly desirable.
