This is an onsite position.
Job Summary:
This position will provide engineering support for Smart Factory Systems and will be responsible for overseeing and implementing on Smart Factory system. This role also will be able to communicate with cross-functional teams and individuals within the company.
Job Responsibilities:
- Reviewing and implementing applications of Smart Factory system based on the latest technology.
- Project management and deployment of key Smart Factory systems i.e. Remote Ops System, Autonomous Calibration, Product Traceability and Preventative Maintenance etc.
- Participating SAT (Site Acceptance Test), Commissioning to functionality & performance check of smart factory systems once installed at equipment
- Planning strategies to improve equipment efficiency and availability based on automation and digitalization.
- Co-creation of documentation with relevant teams associated with process and operation to improve efficiency and capability.
- Communication Channel Control with Parent headquarters
- Management of issues related to Smart Factory
- Weekly/Monthly Report (Issue/Achievement/Progress)
- Conduct regular cadence meeting (weekly or monthly) to discuss issues/progress/achievement of the smart factory projects with parent headquarters
- Smart Factor Investment & Operation Budget management
- Other job duties as directed
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree required, Engineering (Electrical Engineering, Mechatronic Engineering, Computer Engineering) are preferred
- In-depth understanding of network systems & IT (0 to 3 years of IT experience is preferred)
- Bilingual (English, Korean) not required but a plus
- Proficient to use PC, MS Office [Word, Excel, PowerPoint]
- Self-Directed and ability to work in a diverse workforce.
- Self-motivated, strong accountability and enthusiastic learner for dedicated smart factory systems and foundation technologies (PLC, Machine Learning, Network, Vision Inspection, etc.), with keen attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills with internal and external project stakeholders.
- Ability to communicate technical details both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to review and modify smart factory systems via Python, C# and PLC program (Siemens)
- Ability to work across cross cultural settings and globally distributed projects.
- Strong analytical skills for root cause analysis when issues occur and problem-solving skills by managing cross-functional team.
- Self-Directed and ability to work in a diverse workforce.
- The willingness and ability to work flexible hours occasionally for collaboration with different time-zone’s colleagues and support manufacturing/equipment teams for system tests.
- Commitment and desire to learn our complex battery manufacturing processes with the goal of becoming a go-to resource for technical problem-solving discussions
Preferred
- Knowledge and experience of Factory Automation (Programmable Logic Controller, Python, C#, Data Analytics incl. Feature Engineering etc) and Project Management (Schedule & Task progress management)
- Knowledge in the automotive or/and battery industry and manufacturing
- IT & Network experiences
- PMP (Project Management Professional) certificate holder is preferred.
- Bilingual skills, writing and speaking, in English and Korean preferred.
