Summary of Position

The Director of Mechanical Restoration leads the strategy, operations, and performance of mechanical restoration services. This role focuses on delivering high-quality projects, driving innovation, managing budgets, and ensuring compliance with industry standards. The Director oversees a skilled team, fosters excellence, and aligns efforts with organizational goals. Strong leadership, technical expertise, and business acumen are essential to ensure profitability, client satisfaction, and market adaptability. This position is pivotal in maintaining the organization’s standing as an industry leader.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategic plans to drive growth, operational efficiency, and revenue expansion in mechanical restoration services.
• Create and maintain comprehensive playbooks for operational consistency, efficiency, and knowledge sharing.
• Oversee project planning, resource allocation, and execution to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.
• Ensure all safety protocols are rigorously followed, coordinating with the safety team to address compliance, training, and incident prevention.
• Recruit, develop, and retain top talent, fostering a high-performing, technically skilled team with leadership potential.
• Develop and refine business plans that align with organizational goals, focusing on profitability, innovation, and market positioning.
• Monitor market trends, identify opportunities, and implement innovative solutions to enhance service offerings.
• Manage budgets, analyze financial performance, and achieve profitability targets while controlling costs.
• Regularly brief senior leadership on strategies, project progress, financial outcomes, and key initiatives.
• Represent the organization at industry events, maintaining a strong presence and fostering partnerships.

This role requires exceptional leadership, strategic vision, technical expertise, and business acumen to uphold and expand the organization’s reputation as an industry leader.

Required Qualifications

·      Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business, Operations Management, or Construction field.

·      Ten or more years of relevant, proven managerial and leadership experience.

·      Strong understanding of the construction and HVAC industries, including managing contracts, subcontracts, and jobsite operations.

·      Extensive experience in HVAC systems, including installation, maintenance, and project management, with a strong knowledge of industry standards and best practices.

·      Strong financial acumen, with the ability to manage budgets and control costs effectively; proficient in business planning, financial analysis and revenue growth strategies

·      Ability to analyze market trends, identify opportunities, and drive innovation to enhance HVAC services and profitability.

·      Strong understanding of safety protocols, compliance requirements, and incident prevention strategies, particularly in HVAC operations.

·      Proven ability to deal with various personality types, customers and suppliers, conflict, and challenging schedules.

·      Strong management skills and demonstrated ability to develop employees.

·      Skilled in fostering cross-functional collaboration and building strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.

·      Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present to senior leadership and external partners.

·      Detail oriented

·      Driven and results focused.

·      Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize and work in a fast-paced environment.

·      Ability to identify areas for continuous improvement and make recommendations and/or implement HVAC efficiency solutions.

·      Highly motivated with a positive outlook and the ability to always demonstrate a professional demeanor.

Preferred Qualifications

·      Master’s Degree in Business or related field.

·      Construction Industry – 10 years+

·      Eleven or more years of relevant experience.

·      Project Management Certification.
