Check out this new opportunity! Procurement Buyer Sterling Heights, MI Contract Position Join a team dedicated to designing and producing armored combat and support vehicles. Responsibilities: * Serve as the primary liaison between General Dynamics Land Systems (GDLS) and suppliers/subcontractors, managing fixed-price and cost-reimbursement subcontracts and purchase orders. * Analyze material requirements using the Oracle system to identify purchasing needs. * Develop and issue Requests for Quotes (RFQs), Requests for Proposals (RFPs), and Requests for Information (RFIs). * Perform cost and price analyses on vendor proposals to ensure alignment with budget and program objectives. * Negotiate contract terms to meet performance, delivery, and cost targets. * Prepare, place, and administer purchase orders and subcontracts; monitor supplier compliance with contract terms and delivery schedules. * Coordinate issue resolution with suppliers related to quality, payment, and design matters. * Manage the source selection process in accordance with GDLS and procurement regulations. * Ensure compliance with applicable procurement laws and company standards. * Conduct onsite supplier program reviews as necessary. * Monitor MRP planning and lead-time schedules to ensure timely procurement. * Support cross-functional program teams and participate in strategic supply chain efforts. * Perform additional duties as assigned. Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. * 1-3 years of experience in procurement or supply chain functions. * Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship required). * Experience using Oracle and Material Requirements Planning (MRP) systems. * Strong understanding of procurement processes and compliance standards. * Proven skills in cost and price analysis, contract negotiation, and proposal evaluation. * Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word and Excel. * Effective problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills. * Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment. * Occasional domestic and international travel required. * Must possess a valid driver's license.
