JOB SUMMARY
As part of ITC's Finance Team, the Financial Analyst role will support ITC's business objectives by preparing and providing timely, accurate, transparent, and relevant financial information to key stakeholders.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Expense Management: Support the expense budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes, for the operating subsidiaries and consolidated holding company.
Relationship Building : Foster strong relationships with department leaders to provide comprehensive finance support, including budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and headcount reconciliation, among other things
Performance Monitoring: Keep a pulse on the financial health and outlook of the business by measuring and monitoring performance against budgets, forecasts, and internal goals.
Presentation and Communication: Assist in the creation and communication of various financial reports and presentations on financial forecasts and other financial results/analysis to peers and leadership (including Executive Leadership Team and Board of Directors).
Analytical Insights: Provide timely and meaningful analytical insights that drive financial results and support key decision-making and corporate objectives.
Technology Integration : Promote the advancement of technology integration in budget and expense reporting, coordinating with Financial Systems Specialists.
Department Engagement: Enhance department engagement by assisting teams as they onboard new expense reporting tools and processes, such as Power BI.
Process Improvement/Efficiency: Participate in cross-functional initiatives to improve processes, systems, and automation.
Special Projects : Develop complex financial scenarios, sensitivities, and analyses related to special projects and ad hoc requests.
Monthly Accounting Close: Support the monthly accounting close by preparing journal entries and account reconciliations.
Financial Reporting: Provide support for financial reporting, including disclosures within SEC reports (10-Q/10-K) and Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) forms (Form 3-Q/Form 1).
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or relevant field of study
Analyst = Grade 9
Minimum of two (2) years of related financial analysis experience in budget development, or financial modeling.
Senior Analyst = Grade 10
Minimum of five (5) years of related financial analysis experience in budget development, or financial modeling.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong planning and organizational skills
Extremely detail-oriented with high standards for accuracy and precision
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to relate directly, openly, and effectively with key stakeholders
Continuous improvement attitude; ability to think creatively; must have ambition to challenge the status quo
Highly driven and self-motivated; ability to work independently without prescriptive guidance
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
Highly collaborative and team-oriented, easily adapts to different work styles and environments
Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook.
