Onsite in Walled Lake, MI
$30.00 - 35.00/hour

Reports to: Maintenance Manager and Plant Engineering

The schedule for this position would be 10am-8pm, Monday thru Thursday and Fridays as needed.

Summary:

Tech will perform maintenance, repair and replacement of manufacturing equipment, facility equipment and building needs.
Focus on safety, sense of urgency, troubleshooting, long-term reliability, equipment up time, process/equipment improvement and efficiency.
Customer focused attitude, with production being key customer as well as other internal departments. Request material and parts as required for repair and maintenance.
Position Responsibilities: Ensure safety of all equipment and facilities.
Operate in the plant in accordance with company and regulatory requirements including following proper LOTO (Lock out ag out)
Trouble shoot, repair and perform maintenance on production equipment as well as facility and building needs.
Work on/install electrical circuits, both control and power, within the Arc Flash program requirements.
Facility maintenance including carpentry, painting, plumbing and other grounds related duties.
Work with external contractors as required.
Fabrication as needed. Maintain clean, organized work area and plant.
Other duties as assigned by Manager/Supervisor.

Required Education and Experience:
High School Diploma or GED.
Manual machining, fabrication and welding.
Minimum 6 years' Experience Knowledge of HVAC systems.
Understanding and ability to troubleshoot controls including relays, sensors, PLC's and drives.
Controls including electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic.
Experience working on rotating mechanical equipment.
Read electrical schematics and mechanical prints.
Knowledge of drive controlled motors and feedback devices.
Experience with building safety systems including fire prevention systems

Preferred Qualifications:
Industrial Maintenance Certificate/Controls Training

Highly organized.

Working Environment and Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Working both indoors and outdoors as required. While performing the duties of this job, employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes, toxic or caustic chemicals and variations in temperature. The noise level is low to moderate.
