Summary of Position: | • The MiLEAP-OST Project Specialist will oversee the implementation of the MiLEAP-OST Grant at Ferris State University, ensuring that all grant-funded initiatives meet compliance requirements and provide high-quality learning opportunities in mathematics, reading, and science. • This 9-month temporary position requires strong program coordination, stakeholder engagement, and grant management skills to support educational programming and ensure effective collaboration with school and community partners. • The anticipated start date for this position is April of 2025. However, this is an estimated date and can be revised if needed. | |

Essential Duties/Responsibilities: | • Serve as the primary liaison for the MiLEAP-OST Grant at Ferris State University. • Ensure full compliance with grant regulations, reporting requirements, and budget management in alignment with MiLEAP guidelines. • Monitor and track grant expenditures and working closely with university finance staff to manage budgets. • Oversee invoice processing and partner reimbursement tracking. • Demonstrates an understanding of diversity, equity, and inclusion, especially in working relationships with students, faculty, staff, and community members. • Support, promote, and develop university student enrollment and retention initiatives. • Establish and maintain relationships with school districts, community organizations, and grant partners. • Operates university motorized vehicles in a safe manner while performing job duties. • Facilitate bi-monthly virtual meetings with partners to review progress, assess needs, and align strategies. • Support marketing and outreach efforts related to MiLEAP-OST initiatives. • Collaborate with grant partners to track student enrollment, attendance, and required reporting. • Ensure partners are meeting grant objectives and educational goals. • Provide guidance and administrative support for the delivery of out-of-school programming. • Collect, analyze, and report data to measure program effectiveness and student impact. • Prepare and submit regular progress reports to the Director of FerrisNow Programming. • Any other duties assigned within the position classification area. | |
