Responsible for the coordination of daily functional supervision for the clerical team. Provides interpretation and instruction for policies, procedures and practices. Maintains work schedules, reviews timesheets for accuracy and assists with performance evaluations for other clerical team members. Provides in service training and onboarding for new clerical staff. Participates with leadership team to ensure effective clinical operations. Promotes and facilitates positive communication with the entire health care team. May lead team huddles. Screen new patients for navigation services. Provide support, education and guidance to a patient throughout their continuum of care. Proactively build relationship with patients by regular contact with them to assist in identifying barriers to care. Assist patients navigating them through the complex logistics of the health system. Identify and recommend appropriate resources. Acts as a Patient Navigator or Team Lead for a clinic. Under FLSA, incumbents in this position are nonexempt.
- Provide support as Patient Services Associate as needed.

SUPERVISION RECEIVED
General Supervision is received from the Administrative Manager
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 5+ years of experience.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to work well within a team setting.
- Communicates effectively.
- Demonstrates active listening, written, verbal and information technology skills.
- Bachelor?s degree and/or 2-3 years of leadership experience.
- Knowledge of basic medical terminology.
- Experience working within a large, complex health care setting.
- Familiarity with UMHS electronic medical record systems.
May include evening hours and rotating Saturdays
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
This position requires sitting, some standing and walking, lifting of less than 5lbs.
